About Me

My name is Mariah Lasseter and I am a professional hairstylist and makeup artist. I started dancing at age 3 and that exposed me to the world of beauty. I lived with my grandparents and they found it very difficult to apply my stage makeup for competitions, so at age 5, I began applying my own makeup, false lashes included. Growing up with my grandparents, I matured a lot quicker that other kids my age. At age 16 I finished high school and began the CTC Professional Hairstylist Program. During that time, I was apprenticing for a local salon. After finishing hair school, I moved to the city (Vancouver) and began my career at age 17. Currently, I'm assisting at Zoom Hair Studios in New Westminster to further my knowledge. However, I am mostly doing freelance work. As of right now, I have only had basic makeup training but this coming September, I will be going back to school for special effects makeup.
